Health & Nutrition
At Teaching Amor, we understand that education and community development cannot thrive without addressing the fundamental needs of health and nutrition. In many of the underserved areas where we work, children face malnutrition and a lack of access to adequate healthcare, which directly impacts their ability to learn, grow, and succeed.
One of our key initiatives when visiting these communities is providing nutritious meals to the children. We know that hunger can be a major barrier to education, with students struggling to concentrate and excel when they aren’t properly nourished. By ensuring that children receive healthy meals, we are not only supporting their physical well-being but also giving them the fuel they need to fully engage in their education.
Beyond meals, we are committed to promoting overall health and wellness in the communities we serve. Through education on topics like hygiene, nutrition, and preventive care, we empower families to make informed decisions about their health. We believe that fostering a healthy community is essential to building a strong foundation for future generations.
We are grateful to Megan Allen, our women's health ambassador and certified instructor for the Days for Girls Organization. Megan has delivered women's health training to over 150 women and girls, providing them knowledge and confidence to advance their goals and dreams.
