Jenifer Allen
Jen has been a dedicated teacher for 23 years, known for building meaningful connections with students and making learning both engaging and fun. Currently the English teacher in a Spanish immersion program, she is passionate about fostering bilingualism and cultural understanding. Jen holds a reading endorsement and is working towards her ESL endorsement. As a world traveler, she loves exploring diverse cultures and brings this global perspective to both her classroom and her work with Teaching Amor, where she is committed to creating lasting change through education. Married to Mason and mother to three children- Megan, Isaac, and Eli. Jen also enjoys photography and gardening in her free time.
Mason Allen
Mason brings a diverse background to Teaching Amor, with experience in financial services, training, and construction project management. His professional expertise is complemented by a deep connection to Latin communities and an affinity for their culture that he fostered while living two years in Costa Rica. Mason is a fluent Spanish speaker. His passion for helping the humble and resilient communities in Mexico continues to drive his commitment to the mission of Teaching Amor. Mason's interests include filmmaking, soccer, travel & adventure. He enjoys being husband and father, and says the best part of Teaching Amor is having the whole family involved.
Megan Allen
Megan, at just 19, has already made a significant impact as Teaching Amor’s Women’s Health Ambassador. She graduated high school with a seal of bi-literacy and is a certified Days for Girls instructor, Megan’s kindness and compassion shine through in her work. When visiting our community in Mexico, young girls flock to her side. Megan plays a vital role in organizing service trips, engaging through social media, leading donation efforts, and maintaining strong ties with our friends in Mexico. As she pursues her college studies, she is focused on developing her skills to further support Teaching Amor and similar initiatives in the future. Megan is also a passionate dancer and dance teacher.
Brady Schvaneveldt
Brady is an experienced education specialist with over a decade of involvement in diverse educational settings. He has taught students of all ages and is passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences that translate into real-life applications. Brady finds joy in using education as a vehicle for personal and community growth, believing that it can elevate lives and foster positive change. As a board member for Teaching Amor, he is dedicated to enhancing educational initiatives that empower learners to thrive in all aspects of life.
